Annual Fund
Empowering Our Educators
Detroit Waldorf School’s Annual Fund supports our robust Teacher Professional Development and Teacher Internship Programs. These initiatives strengthen educators' instructional skills, deepen their content knowledge, and provide financial assistance for Waldorf teacher certification. This year, we are striving for 100% community participation from our current Families, Grandparents, and Alumni to collectively reach our Annual Fund goal of $80,000. Thanks to very generous gifts of $40,000 from the Rise & Shine Fund and $16,360 from our Board of Trustees, our Annual Fund is thriving. We have raised over $66,000 so far this school year, and with your help, we know we can reach our goal by June 30th, 2025.
Investing in our teachers is an investment in our students.
“Detroit Waldorf School has a long tradition of upholding the importance of professional development for its teachers. Opportunities such as summer intensives, subject specific conferences, and larger global events, like the World Teachers' Conference in Dornach, Switzerland, provide inspiration for our work within the Waldorf movement, with fellow educators, and, most importantly, with the children in our classrooms. Ongoing education for the teachers and staff is key to an enlivened education at DWS!” - Justin Trombly, Grades Pedagogical Chair and Teacher
