Support Harley's Fund

Detroit Waldorf School recently launched Harley's Fund: A Space for All to improve accessibility in our educational community. The initial phase of improvements includes mobility equipment, story time and meal seating, automatic water foundations, ramping, and more. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for this initial phase and we have raised $25,500 thus far.

Meet Harley

Harley's Fund: A Space for All is in honor of Harley Barnes, daughter of Darlisha and Jarrett Barnes and sister to Sky. Harley has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Type 1 and wants to attend DWS just like her big sister. The Barnes Family hopes that their gift will inspire others to give to ensure that DWS becomes a learning environment that is accessible to people of all abilities. We are extremely grateful to the Barnes Family for their generosity and vision for Detroit Waldorf School.
