How to Apply For Accessible Tuition for the 2024-2025 School Year

Accessible Tuition is available to families with children attending the pre-k three full day program through the eighth grade. It is not available for families with children attending the pre-k three half day program.

Families can apply for Accessible Tuition immediately after their children have been accepted by Detroit Waldorf School. An enrollment agreement must be submitted before the Accessible Tuition Committee will review the Accessible Tuition application.

The application process is as follows:

1) Request an application from the Accessible Tuition Coordinator, Jeff Raudebaugh at jeffraudebaugh@detroitwaldorf.org.

2) Complete an application in the FACTS Grant & Aid online platform and then pay a $40 application fee.

Then complete and upload the following to FACTS Grant & Aid:

3) The Accessible Tuition worksheet, disclosing assets, debts, income, and expenses, along with the amount of tuition the family is proposing to pay.

4) The most recent year’s tax return with all related schedules and W-2’s.

5) Recent pay stubs.

6) Supporting documentation, per the checklist in the Accessible Tuition Application Instructions. Examples of additional documentation could include social security benefits, an unemployment statement, 1120S, etc.

Once all necessary documents have been submitted and reviewed by FACTS Grant & Aid:

7) The Accessible Tuition Coordinator reviews the application for completeness.

8) The Accessible Tuition Committee reviews the application at their regularly scheduled meetings.

9) The school and the family hold a Conversation meeting. During the meeting, the school and the family strive to come to an agreement on a tuition adjustment, and an amendment agreement is signed.
