THE WALDORF WARM UP PROJECT: KNITTING FOR A CAUSE
MLK Jr. Day Volunteer Project
Monday, January 16th
Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an annual tradition at Detroit Waldorf School. Each year, our community gathers in the spirit of helping others in need. This year we are partnering with COTS (Coalition on Temporary Shelter) to provide hand-knit items to families in need.
Families are welcome to drop off their hand-knit items on January 16th from 8am-6pm at COTS, 26 Peterboro St, Detroit, MI 48201.
DWS students, AGE 10 AND OLDER (5th -8th grade), are invited to volunteer to serve families lunch from 11am-1pm and donate their items directly to the families. SIGN UP for 5th-8th Grade Families
