Faculty: Justin Trombly

Justin Trombly has taught children of all ages from preschool through 8th grade in both public and private settings. He has been teaching in Waldorf schools since 2004, first in Chicago, Illinois, then in Portland, Oregon, and now in Detroit. Justin received his Waldorf teaching certification from the Micha-el Institute in Portland. He taught in the ECC and in grades 1-8 at the Swallowtail Waldorf School in Oregon and graduated his eighth grade class in 2016. Justin also graduated the DWS class of 2024 after teaching them as a class teacher for eight years. The Waldorf curriculum and how it works with the developing child is a constant inspiration to Justin.
Justin grew up in Berkley, Michigan and attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He earned a BA in Elementary Education and Philosophy from Loyola University in Chicago. Justin enjoys woodworking, kayaking, and gardening, especially when he gets to do those things with his two daughters.
