Faculty: Kimberly Edwards
Band Teacher - Grades 5-8
Kimberly Edwards is a lifelong Detroiter who loves the city. She received her early education in the Detroit Public School System and is a graduate of Renaissance High School. She received her bachelors and masters degrees from Wayne State University in music education. She worked as an instrumental and general music teacher in the Detroit Public School System for twenty-five years where she helped to foster a love for music and the arts for thousands of students.
As a musician, she has performed with various community concert bands, marching bands, big bands, and a saxophone choir. As a lifelong learner, Kimberly also holds a Masters of Arts in Practical Theology from Ashland Theology Seminary and is working on her doctorate at Boston University. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and modeling.
