Congratulations Middle School Musicians!
On Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District XV Festival, the Detroit Waldorf School band and orchestra submitted 21 soloists and 12 ensemble events. Our student musicians were adjudicated for their performance and musicianship, and they were outstanding!
With over 28 events that included soloist and ensemble members, DWS received the highest rating possible of Superior Ratings. In addition, four ensembles medalled receiving Excellent Ratings, and two events received Good Ratings. Our school submitted the most events in MSBOA District XV amongst all middle schools. DWS also earned more Superior and Excellent Ratings than any other middle school in Detroit.
DWS students represented our school extremely well and in the highest possible fashion. Thank you to our students, parents, and faculty for your support!
