Christian Sands
Strings Teacher Grades 3rd-8th
Born and raised in Detroit, Christian is a proud Detroiter who received all of his education in Detroit. He went to the Detroit School of Arts and Wayne State University, where he studied cello performance and graduated in December 2019. He was awarded a full tuition scholarship through the Detroit Symphony Orchestra throughout his time at Wayne State University. He is an active member of the music community. He is a member of the International Symphony Orchestra, Grosse Pointe Symphony, Warren Symphony, Oakland Symphony, and the Livonia Symphony. Christian is on the faculty at the Rochester Conservatory. And teaches for the Sphinx Overture program in public schools. Christian has a multitude of freelance work, from teaching private lessons on cello, violin, and viola to performing events with colleagues, church services, Musicals, recording sessions, and weddings. Christian Studied with Marcy Chanteaux (Cello Professor) and Dr. Laura Roelofs(Violin Professor) at Wayne State University.
