This is the 37th year students will walk for their school, and every year they look forward to the ritual and rhythm of this annual fundraiser. It is our only student-powered event and our largest fundraiser.

Since the opening of our school in 1966, Detroit Waldorf School has been a beacon of courage, goodwill, and action. In this unprecedented year, the annual Walk-a-thon will draw on the school's history and mission to incorporate service projects with social and environmental justice themes. We will Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk. We will walk to care for our bodies, our minds, our hearts, our community, and our earth.

Our upper grades will look closely at the causes and consequences of social and environmental injustice and take action. Our lower grades and early childhood center will learn the importance of caring for the earth and each other. Click below to learn more about how each class will serve the community and how far they're walking.

Reaching our 2020 goal of $49,750 enables us to support the exceptional education that Detroit Waldorf School provides for our children along with our annual operating cost, capital improvements, and the Accessible Tuition Program.
