Our Blossom Parent-Child Program provides the opportunity for children ages 22-36 months (1.75-3 years) by session start date to come together with their beloved caregiver in an environment that is safe, calm, developmentally appropriate, and emotionally nurturing. This unique program meets one day per week, and encourages young children to explore and socially engage in the wonders of imaginative play with simple toys made of natural materials.

Children are tenderly guided through the gentle rhythm of each class including free play, circle time, and song. These experiences provide young children with a rich experience of music and rhyme. Parents and caregivers can participate in an array of activities under the guidance of an experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher, such as Waldorf artistic projects, discussions about child development, child observation, parenting issues and Waldorf Education, bread baking and more!

Class Offerings include: free imaginative play, observation and mindfulness exercises, puppet plays, singing, story-time, finger games, circle time (movement, songs, finger play, nursery rhymes), snack preparation, Waldorf artistic activity and outdoor play.

The Blossom Class includes Parenting classes. In weeks 1 and 2, the Blossom Class will meet 9:00-10:30am. Beginning at week 3, after the children have had a chance to become familiar with the classroom, teachers, and new friends, the class is extended by one hour (10:45-11:45); we will maintain our hour-and-a-half rhythm with the children from 9:00-10:30, and then the children will play from 10:45-11:45 under the care of our Parent-Child class assistant, while parents/caregivers stay with the Blossom Class teacher to discuss parenting issues. Child must be able to separate from parent/caregiver for one hour during parenting discussion. Parents will then gather up their little ones from the playground to close out the morning at 11:45.
