A Wonderful Introduction to Detroit Waldorf School!

Our Duckling Parent-Child Program provides the opportunity for babies ages 4 months -  pre-walking (by session start date) to come together with peers and their beloved caregiver in an environment that is safe, soothing, developmentally appropriate and emotionally nurturing.

This unique program meets one day per week, as babies and caregivers are tenderly guided through the gentle rhythm of each class including play and discovery, a simple circle time, songs, movement, and more.  Children’s natural wonder and curiosity are encouraged through imaginative play with simple and natural toys and materials which support motor development, language acquisition, emotional development and social skills.

Parents and caregivers can also participate in activities facilitated by an experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher, such as Waldorf artistic projects, discussions about child development, parenting issues, Waldorf Education,  and more!

Class Offerings include: free play, circle time, (songs, finger play, nursery rhymes, movement), observation, parenting discussions and support, and exchange of ideas.
